Jen & Jeremy . Berkshire Country Club . Reading, PA
A few weeks ago, I headed out to Reading, PA to shoot Jennifer & Jeremy's wedding reception at the Berkshire Country Club. The actual ceremony had taken place the week before at Disney World (how much fun is that?!), so I showed up to shoot the celebration with all of their friends and family back home. Jen designed the most elaborate tiki-style reception complete with tropical plants, pineapples, and yes.....even their very own Elvis. The whole room was so bright and colorful -- it was a blast to shoot! Jen & Jeremy were up for some fun photos on and around the golf course, and we had a great time running around together. I couldn't get enough of her fabulous green shoes!
Here are my favorites from the day....

This masterpiece was designed by Charm City Cakes -- 5 layers of scrumptious art. In all my wedding travels, I have never seen anything like it. It was HOT!

*** Ty Lezak has arrived! ***
This morning, at 9 am my newest nephew -- Ty -- joined the world. Words cannot describe what it is like to be nearby at the birth of any baby...but especially one who you know will be in your life from today until forever. It's incredible.
Ty was delivered via cesarian, and I arrived with two very excited grandmas just as Mer was about to head into the operating room. Click here to see Ty's first slideshow! And congratulations to little Liam who is now a big brother (and his mom and dad -- Mer & Jake -- who are now parents to TWO little guys!)
The stats: 6 lbs. 6 oz. 19 inches long. Born into this crazy world at 9:01 am, Wednesday, May 21, 2008.
Note to self.
Dear self,
Next time you decide to shoot 3 weddings in one week....in 2 different countries....requiring travel through 4 different states, please remember to buy stock in coffee beans before you go.
Also -- very important. Should you decide to windsurf on the lovely coast of Aruba the morning before your flight leaves, please remember not to sail halfway out to Panama. The subsequent boat ride back is very bumpy.
And last.... always ALWAYS carry the camera. You never know what kind of treasures you might spot on the beach.
Your friend,

Jennifer & Andy . Rittenhouse Hotel . Philadelphia, PA
Last weekend I shot Jennifer and Andy's wedding at the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia, and it was an absolutely gorgeous day. I wanted to post a few preview shots before I head out on my flight, so I won't write a lot....other than to say it was an amazing day with so many wonderful people and I was very lucky to be part of it all! Jen was completely stunning and Andy cleaned up pretty well, too. :) While we were out in Rittenhouse Square shooting, my excellent assistant for the day spotted a huge arch of balloons moving through the park behind us.... She ran over and asked if we could borrow them for a few shots, and we got some crazy unique images thanks to her eagle eyes. (Big thanks also to Sam Gordon for sharing his balloons with us!)
I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking.... Enjoy!

laundry.
We're full throttle into wedding season, which means.....the Black Pant Convention has officially returned to our clothesline. Lots and lots and LOTS of black pants.
Welcome back, old friends.

This weekend the B.P.C. and I are hitting the road. Friday will be my last day in the studio for a little over a week. Saturday I'll be out in Reading, PA to shoot Jen & Jeremy's wedding reception, then it's back to Philadelphia to catch my flight to Aruba first thing Sunday morning for Wendy & Chris's wedding, and then I'll be back in town again just in time for one more wedding (the details of which are top secret) next weekend. I'm hoping I'll be able to blog a few shots while I'm out and about, but...I won't make any promises. Also, we may be a little slow in returning calls and emails next week, but we will get back to everyone as soon as possible.
Hope all of you and your laundry are enjoying this gorgeous spring day!
