Jannet & Rob . in love
Last Saturday I traveled down to Island Beach State Park in New Jersey to do a shoot with Jannet and Rob. Jannet and I started planning this day way back in February. They wanted to do something special to celebrate their 6-year dating anniversary (which happened a few days before our shoot), and thought a photo shoot would be a pretty cool way to spend the day.
On a side note....when I write these things, I realize how lucky I am to be invited into people's lives for the moments that mean so much to them. Who else gets to do that? It is nothing short of an enormous honor to be asked to document love, and I think it's something I will never tire of. I just had to say....that's pretty amazing.
Anyway, when we arrived at the beach it was a little chilly, crazy windy, and the waves were wild, but we had these delicious dramatic skies and the beach all to ourselves except for a few fisherman and horseback riders. And I pulled way too many images, so you will just have to look through all of my 829 favorites. Poor you. :)

When the beach got boring we decided to cruise into town and take a stroll down the boardwalk. As we got closer I saw the Ferris wheel in the distance, and asked if we could head in that direction to get the ride in the background on some shots, even though I knew it wouldn't be running this early in the season. Jannet hopped right up and was ready to jump the fence and risk "prosecution"....

....when we realized that some of the rides were moving...and the whole place was open and up and running. Oops. So we walked through the gate like normal people (even though jumping the fence would have been so much more fun and dangerous-y).
