Meredith & Ben's Big Day . Philadelphia, PA

Meredith & Ben's wedding was a fabulous start to the '08 wedding season! Meredith and I have actually been friends since our college days -- she was my sister-in-law Abbie's first roommate....And then a few years later, we roomed together during a summer at Penn State. She is one of the sweetest people I know, she's always ready for a party, and she's an excellent roommate to boot. Ben's a lucky guy! When they asked me if I would photograph their wedding, I knew it would be an amazing day. And yeah...I was right.

Ben's British, and his family traveled from all over the world to be there with them for the big celebration....which meant that we were all treated to a traditional (and of course, horribly funny) English toast by the best man. The ceremony and reception all took place at the very swanky & mod Sofitel in Philadelphia and though I had heard snow might fall, we actually ended up with a pretty gorgeous day!

When I arrived in the morning, the girls were all getting their hair and makeup done in the posh presidential suite...

Love this shot of the rockstar groom. I've been playing around with some really different, artsy wedding shots and I think I'm going to be doing a lot more work with images like this:

When I saw this elevator bank at the back of the Sofitel, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it, but of course, it sounded oh so strange when I explained it. ..luckily Mer and Ben were great sports in following my bizarre instructions. I think it was the worth the effort!

GREAT JOB!!! I love these shots and the emotion you captured... the details are awesome as well. :)

Brings back memories for Courtney and I as our bridal party got ready (and stayed over) at the Sofitel in Philly before heading onto Cairnwood Mansion.
